JVA Consulting Engineers — 70th Anniversary Barrel Selection
To commemorate 70 years of engineering excellence, JVA Consulting Engineers partnered with Valor Peak Distillery on a dual-barrel private selection that reflects both legacy and craftsmanship. Their release featured two distinct expressions: an 8-year rye whiskey bottled at 105 proof and a 5-year single malt released at 90 proof.
Founded in 1956, JVA has grown from humble beginnings into one of Colorado’s strongest engineering consulting firms, now supporting clients with structural, civil, and environmental expertise across five offices statewide. These barrel selections were chosen as a celebration of that journey, honoring the relationships, camaraderie, and shared dedication that have shaped the company over seven decades.
This project stands as a tribute to thoughtful design, long-term vision, and the many people who have traveled alongside JVA on their adventurous road forward.
CertaPro Painters of Northern Colorado — Client Celebration Barrels
CertaPro Painters of Northern Colorado selected two custom barrels to celebrate the partnerships and projects that define their work. Their private label release includes a 4-year wheated bourbon bottled at 90 proof and a 9-year rye whiskey released at 95 proof, each chosen to reflect patience, balance, and craftsmanship.
Built on the belief that great partnerships are created through trust and attention to detail, CertaPro worked with Valor Peak Distillery to hand-select spirits that mirror their values, local pride, quality execution, and a commitment to creating something lasting. These bottles were shared with clients as a gesture of gratitude and a celebration of collaboration.
Each pour represents not just a finished project, but a relationship rooted in community, inspired by Colorado, and strengthened over time.
Deep Roots Distilling — Contract Distillation Partner
Deep Roots Distilling is a Longmont-based spirits brand rooted in Colorado’s wild landscape and adventurous spirit. Through a contract distilling partnership with Valor Peak Distillery, Deep Roots produces both gin and vodka for their Cismontane label, spirits designed to be clean, crisp, and deeply expressive of place.
Created for those chasing powder, exploring high-alpine trails, or soaking in long mountain days, Deep Roots Distilling works exclusively with craft-minded producers who value sustainability, community, and transparency. Their spirits are shaped by Rocky Mountain water and a commitment to honoring where and how each bottle is made.
81 spirits — Contract Distillation Partner
81 Spirits is a Longmont-based brand rooted in brotherhood, earned respect, and giving back to the community it calls home. Created in collaboration with the local 81 riding community, the brand represents more than the open road; it reflects loyalty, craftsmanship, and a commitment to supporting local causes and people.
Each release is built with intention and integrity. 81 Rye - Loco 95 Rye pays tribute to the untamed: the riders, outlaws, and horizon-chasers who earn their freedom mile by mile. Aged 8 years, crafted from a 95% rye mash bill, and bottled at a commanding 126.5 proof (63.25% ABV), it delivers bold character with no shortcuts taken.
81 Blended Whiskey brings balance and restraint to the lineup. A composed blend of wheated bourbon and low-rye bourbon, it’s measured, dependable, and earned designed to ride smooth and finish true.
Together, these expressions embody the spirit of 81 Spirits: whiskey made with purpose, built on community, and shared in celebration of the road, the people, and the work done along the way.
2025 - cigar blend - special release
Late nights have a way of turning simple ideas into serious whiskey. Cigar Blend was built to hold its own next to a slow draw—bold in presence, smooth in finish, and satisfying even without the smoke. We began with an 8-year rye for its lively spice and unmistakable character, then finished it in a French Cognac barrel to deepen the profile with layered richness. The final touch: Amburana staves, bringing a ribbon of warm baking spice and soft sweetness that lingers like the last curl of cigar smoke. Rooted in tradition, refined with patience, and made for those who take their time.
American Lung Association Charity Bottle
Time does two things well: it builds whiskey, and it builds perspective. This 28-Year Canadian Light Whiskey is dedicated to resilience born from our head distiller’s close family member’s battle with lung cancer and the strength shown through it. A portion of every bottle sold is donated to the American Lung Association to help fund lung health research, education, and advocacy. This bottle is a salute to endurance and a way to give back with every pour.
